On February 7th Governor Tom Corbett outlined his 2012-13 budget which created the Student Achievement Education Block Grant (SABG) by combining Basic Education Funding Social Security reimbursement and pupil transportation (public non-public and charter school pupils). This web forum will focus specifically on student transportation. Since current transportation subsidies are based on the previous year’s operations, how will this affect reimbursement levels? How will district subsidy deductions for Intermediate Unit provided transportation be affected? What transportation reporting will be eliminated? You will be able to pose your questions to Nichole Duffy, Director of the Bureau of Budget and Fiscal Management at the PA Department of Education. PASBO is providing this web forum as a member benefit to help clear up any confusion and avoid misinterpretation of the proposal.
