Attached below is the Performance Audit Report for the Upper Merion Area School District for the fiscal years 2008-09 and 2009-10. The audit was conducted by the PA Department of the Auditor General. School districts are subject to an annual local audit as well as a state audit. The state audit typically occurs once every two years.
School performance audits allow the Department of the Auditor General to determine whether state funds, including state subsidies, are being used according to the purposes and guidelines that govern the use of those funds. Additionally, the audits examine the appropriateness of certain administrative and operational practices at each district.
